Behind the Build: Countertops, Flooring, & Sneak Peaks

Once the paint was up and the tile work was underway, we finally moved into one of my favorite parts of any remodel — the finishes. This is the stage where everything starts feeling intentional, warm, and very much like home.

Countertops: The first big “wow” moment

Countertop install day is always a good day. It’s one of those changes that instantly pulls a space together. The moment the slabs were set in place, the kitchen suddenly looked like the kitchen we had been picturing for months.

Seeing the veining, texture, and color in the actual space — against our paint choices and cabinetry — made the whole design feel real. It was such a rewarding milestone.

Flooring: Bringing warmth and flow

Next came the flooring throughout the addition and remodeled areas. We chose an LVP that felt warm, timeless, and practical (because… kids and dogs 🙃).

As soon as the floors went in, everything changed. The rooms felt grounded and cozy, and the flow from the existing home into the new spaces finally felt seamless. Walking through with continuous flooring made the whole place feel so much bigger and more connected.

Sneak peeks of the finished spaces

With countertops and flooring installed, we finally started seeing small glimpses of the finished home — sunlight on the new floors, countertops meeting the cabinets, fresh paint next to finished trim. These tiny moments made us realize just how close we were to crossing the finish line.

It’s crazy to think how far everything has come in just a few months. Each step brought us closer to creating a home that truly fits our family and showcases the craftsmanship we’re proud to offer our clients every day.

And now… we’re almost there!

We’re officially in the home stretch — installing cabinetry, trim, fixtures, hardware, and tying up all the last details before we open our doors.
